Orange shadow

Mia discovers that Mango her cat had a "raspy wheeze" when he breathes, she also sensed that his color was less brighter. Mia has her last sessions of acupuncture which her parents don't know about. The project she had to do with her new friend Roger was done. It is finally the weekend where the synthesizes people meet. Mia dresses up elegantly for these special meeting, but forgets Mango outside. Mia was really nervous during the meeting, and she was finally able to meet Adam in person.

(This is the link to a blog that contains test about synesthesia, contains videos, and explains the different causes and effect of synesthesia.
"I choose the poems with the prettiest- colored words. ( Mass 216)" This part is verry funny because you get to discover the different types of synesthesia and that some where really crazy because instead of seeing colors on words or numbers they sa o sensed personalities on them.
"I reached out my hand and lightly pet his little head. He opens his squinty eyes and yawns. Then he lets out a surprisingly strong mustard colored-colored mew and settles back into his mother's warmth. (Mass 269) This part is emotional and beautiful because is one of the final parts. Is pretty when Mia remember about Mango, and that she believed that it was her grandfather.

a calendar full of colors that represents the time it passed during the story

These where the last chapters, they got really emotional. It was pretty touching the fact that Mango died and Mia was so depressed that forgot about her colors. The ending was amazing because Billy asked Mia about her colors and they came back. I love the last last part where Mia listens to this newborn cat and says it sounds like mustard and that that cat looked exactly like Mango.

A colorful caos

Mia was diagnosed with anesthesia, so now all her family and friends. Mia realized that her synesthesia was a gift not a problem. Mia now is able to explore and use her "power". Her neurologist Jerry shows Mia how synesthesia works, and tat she isn't the only one with it. Some days later Mia meets some special friends that have different conditions of  anesthesia. Mia met this friends on an medical online site for people with different diseases or conditions to meet others with the same condition.

"I'm happy for her. I'm happy for everyone and everything- all the creatures on the planet." (Mass 183) This quote reflects how well is life going for Mia and how happy is she. At this point of the story Mia has a positive view on everything because she feels her synesthesia is a super power. "Everything's brimming with life! The bushes, the birds, me and Roger, Roger's mother, and everyone else. (Mass 200)" In this part Mia attends to an acupuncturist named Faith. When Mia receives the session she feels so relaxed, happy, and her synesthesia is free.

how active Mia's synesthesia was when she went to the acupuncturist

This part was wonderful finally Mia knows what she has. Now her parent's aren't worried about it neither she. I wonder how crazy would it be to be able to see colors when hearing noises or seeing colors in letters and numbers. I would like to meet someone that actually has synesthesia to understand what is all about. Would it be difficult to concentrate and understand things if you have synethesia?

A Cat

In this part of the book we follow Mia around her first weeks of school. She thinks a lot and very accurate, she seems to be failing math, reading The Lord of The Flies in literature. Finally Mia told her parents about the synesthesia problem, and that in her mind everything has colors, sounds and shapes. Mia´s parents react scared and annoyed. Then Mia´s parents contact a doctor to check on Mia.

Quotes:
"K is a turquoise blue, whether I think of it, read it, or hear it. Is just there, inside my head, plain as day. (Mass 59)"
I think it would be confusing to read letters that have individual color, and read sentences that have different colors. I read in an article about synesthesia, is discussed about the memory of the people that have it, the people that have it have better chances of memorizing things.

"His images are all twisted together and overlapping, like when I  hear music with a lot of different instruments. (Mass 64)"
It would be strange to close your eyes when you listen music and see all kinds of colors and shapes floating around.

It might be easier to have synesthesia and experimental how different the world would be, with all those colors and shapes. I would like to know if it is true that people with this rare case are able to memorize thing easier because of the colors that they see? Is synesthesia people´s brain bigger because they have like a second nature of memorizing colors and shapes along with letters and sounds.
