In the Beginning

The book Son by Lois Lowry starts in a singular surgery of a girl on the Birthing Unit, in the dystopian worl of The Giver. As the 'technicians' put a mask covering her eyes the girl recall what a young woman had commented about a blindfold to keep from seeing her 'product'. The girl was named Clair and she was about to give birth to her first product, but something seemed wrong. Then she felt as they placed something rubbery under her mask. Then she woke up in an empty room to realize that she hasn't longer had 'the product' oh her belly. Clair was desperate and curious about her product, she wanted an answer, she wanted her baby.

Quotes:
"Once they're sure it implanted then you're a certified Vessel." (Lowry 8)
These quote is significant because is the first step for a birth mother's work, In these part of the book is when Clair becomes a vessel.
"'Help me,' she whimpered. But their attention, she sensed, was not on her, not really. They were worried about the Product." (Lowry 10)
This quote is important because shows when Clair is giving birth to her firsts product and it went wrong, the product was different. I would be scared too on her circumstances.

I had an enjoyable time reading the first three chapters of the book. I find it really entertaining and intriguing,  The book has been really simple, does not contain complicated words. The book is really interesting and fun to read but can also be confusing if you haven't read the previous book. The book seems long at first but is really good. I would like to keep reading it to find the connection with The Giver book.
