The Quest and the end

In these last chapters Clair had came to a conclusion of going after her son. She decides to escape on a supply boat that ends up sinking. Clair forgets bout all her memory and is later rescued and taken to a strange village. Clair starts a total new life in this new village without remembering a thing about her baby. In later chapters Clair remembers about her son and asks Einar for help, Einar tells Clair that there is a man on top of these cliff that can help her find her son. Eainar trains Clair to be able to reach these man by climbing these cliff. Clair gave the man her youth in exchange of finding Gabriel. At the end Clair is able to reunite with her son Gabe.

The village 

"A sip on the moss, a misplaced step, a turned ankle, and her mission would end before it began." (Lowry 239)
This quote is relevant because it shows the difficult pat Clair took to be able to find her son. I think she is really caring and she would give anything for her child.
"Then Jonas looked past Clair and saw Gabe approaching on the path." (Lowry 393)
This quote is important because is the last sentence on the book, and shows how Clair is happy of finding her beloved son. I really liked the last sentence of the book because at the end Clair was ale to accomplish her quest to find her son.

The night described at the end of the book

I think the book was amazing! It was thrilling and kind of sad. I really enjoyed it and I think the book as a meaningful message about the love of a mother and all the things a mother would do for her child. I really like the inner-strength of Clair because she fought till the end to find her son. The book is long but really interesting, thrilling with a marvelous ending. I would recommend this book, is really meaningful with an amazing story.
